New Horizons of Central and Eastern North Carolina is happy to answer any questions you may have regarding courses, schedules, purchases and more. Below is a list of our frequently asked questions. Q: How do I enroll in a class?
A: You have two convenient options. First, you can register for training directly on our website. Once you have found the class you are interested in, select "Register Now". Once our registration is processed a New Horizons representative will contact you to confirm your enrollment. Alternatively, you can enroll in any course by calling New Horizons at (919) 336-1000.
Q: Can I request a course that is not on your schedule or available when I need it?
A: Yes. If you need a course that is not currently on our schedule or available at the right time, we will work with you to find the right solution. To get started, complete our Contact Form or call us at (919) 336-1000.
Q: Why Is Being On Time So Important?
A: Check-in begins at 8:00 AM. Technical classes begin at 8:30 AM. Applications courses begin at 9:00 AM. At New Horizons almost all of our classes are very 'hands-on' and 'task-oriented'. Each topic covered builds on the previous topic. Students arriving more than fifteen minutes late may lose their seat to students on waitlist. As a courtesy to our class attendees, the learning environment and our instructors, students will not be admitted after the first hour of class.
Q: I'm A Repeat Student - What Should I Do?
A: Contact your Account Executive to reserve a seat in the class you wish to repeat. Bring the courseware manual or technical kit that you received in your initial class. A new manual or technical kit will not be issued to a repeating student.
Q: How Can I Pay For My Class?
A: Registration is not complete until your payment has been received. We accept Visa, MasterCard and American Express. Enrollments may be completed with Purchase Orders for approved organizations. Payment will be due in full upon invoice receipt. Local or national training vouchers are accepted but must be redeemed on or before the first day of class. If the class is a multi-day class, all coupons are due on or before the first day of class.
Q: What Should I Wear To Class?
A: Dress comfortably. You will be working at a computer throughout the day. You may wish to bring a jacket or a sweater as the room temperature may vary.
Q: Where can I eat?
A: We have a small microwave and fridge in the center for student use. There are plenty of eateries close to our center. A listing is at our reception desk.
Q: Where Do I Park?
A: There is no fee for parking. Ample parking is available in the front of our center.
Q: What is your inclement weather policy?
A: In the event that inclement weather should occur, this website will be updated. Also, please feel free to contact our office at (919)336.1000. A recorded message will be update by 6:00 am for day classes and by 2:00 pm for evening classes.
