Project Management Fundamentals outlines basic project management techniques - how to plan, organize, control, document, and close out projects successfully and with minimum risk. This course is designed for those who manage small projects or those who are new to project teams. This course outlines the methodology from the Project Management Institutes globally accepted Project Management Body of Knowledge ® (PMBoK)

Applied Project Management Workshop (By Industry) - 3 Days

Learn by working on a project team within your industry on a project from your industry!

This project workshop will combine lecture, hands-on labs , and individual and team break-out sessions, to allow attendees to experience managing a project from initiating through closing and lessons learned summary. You'll walk through a complete project management life cycle using your actual projectand project from one of the following industries: Information Technology, Construction, Finance, Health Care, BioTech/Pharaceutical or Professional Services. Each student will join other professionals from their industry to create the project team within this course. Private training will utilize client specific project archives during course.

During the lab and break-out sessions students will work on a team to write objectives, conduct stakeholder analysis, and develop a work breakdown structure and risk management plan based on an actual project from their employer/company. Students will gain Project Management expertise and practice using estimating techniques, dependency analysis, and network diagramming. Progress information is used to determine the project's earned value. Students will learn how to consider various and competing expectations from stakeholders including the customer, sponsor and team, as you develop and present plans to address expectations in ways that benefit the project.
